Overview

The Bachelor of Business (Event Management) covers every aspect of  planning and running major events. Choose from electives to tailor your event management degree to your specific interests. Gain relevant, real-world experience with one of our acclaimed Torrens University industry partners.

This course will help you learn how to bring events to life. You’ll learn how to come up with creative themes and formats, and manage clients to ensure their expectation for an event is met. You’ll gain a thorough understanding of the legal, marketing, financial and strategic concepts in event management. You will also gain practical industry skills in project, strategic and event management and have the option to specialise in hospitality, tourism, marketing, public relations and advertising.

Course Structure

This course comprises 24 subjects, 20 core subjects and 4 elective subjects. As part of the core subjects, you will gain 300 hours of real-world industry experience.

Each subject involves 10 hours of study per week, comprising 3 hours of facilitated study and 7 hours self-directed study.

 

Year 1:

These six core subjects must be completed. Additionally, you’re required to select two electives from the electives tab.
