Our Bachelor of Information Technology (Co-op) offers extensive work-integrated learning, including a three-month paid industry placement, ensuring you gain hands-on, industry-relevant experience essential for launching a successful career in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sectors.

Endorsed by the Australian Computer Society, this program allows you to specialize in application development, cyber security, or business analysis. You can further customize your studies with minors focusing on emerging IT fields.

Designed to establish a solid foundation in IT, our Bachelor of Information Technology (Co-op) equips you with sought-after skills required for a thriving career in this expanding industry. The curriculum integrates substantial work-integrated learning and industry-centric majors, positioning you as a highly desirable candidate across various IT domains.

Throughout your studies, core units provide comprehensive knowledge of IT and computer-based systems. From the second term onward, you'll delve into units aligned with your chosen major: Application Development, Business Analysis, or Cyber Security.

In your second year, a paid industry placement offers invaluable real-world experience, allowing you to apply your skills to practical projects and bolster your employability.

Tailor your studies further by selecting from an array of minors. Additionally, you can expedite your degree by enrolling in Term 3 units, accelerating your entry into the workforce.

For added flexibility, you have the option to graduate early with an Associate Degree of Information Technology or a Diploma of Information and Communications Technology after completing a designated number of units.

Course Structure

Course Structure:
You must fulfill a total of 22 units, comprising an industry work placement, a major, a minor, four elective units, and eight core units.

Academic

Completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent; or completion of AQF Certificate IV or equivalent; or completion of an approved university foundation studies program.

Entry Requirement

You can demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following:

- International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) with an overall band score of at least 6.0 and a minimum of 5.5 in each subset.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 550 or better overall and a minimum TWE score of 4.5 for the Paper Based Test, or a score of 75 or better overall with no less than 17 in any section for the Internet Based Test.
- Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with an overall score of 54 and no sub-score less than 46.
- Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components.
