CQUniversity's Master of Information Technology offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career or transition into the rapidly expanding field of information technology (IT). The program begins with a common first term comprising four units covering project management, introductory programming, ICT services management, and information systems analysis and design. Upon completion of these foundational units, you delve into your chosen major: networks and information security, mobile application development, or software design and development. Further customization is available through the selection of industry-driven minors:

These minors explore cutting-edge technologies such as blockchain, neural networks, machine learning, internet-of-things, sustainable IT practices, and big data. The project management minor offers a unique opportunity to combine it with elective units, enabling you to graduate with both the master's degree and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management within the standard two-year timeframe.
Throughout the program, you gain hands-on experience with the latest software tools and techniques and have access to real-world industry case studies led by practitioner academics. You can solidify your skills through a 12-week internship or capstone project in the final term.

Course Structure
COURSE STRUCTURE
To fulfill the requirements of the program, you must complete a total of 15 units. This includes 11 discipline units within your chosen major and four elective units. Majors are available in:
- Mobile Application Development
- Networks and Information Security
- Software Design and Development
Additionally, there is a 12 credit point capstone project where you will apply your knowledge by undertaking a discipline-specific project.
For your elective units, you have several options. You may choose four units from a specified list of elective units, select three units from the Graduate Certificate in Project Management along with a general elective unit, or pursue a four-unit minor in:

Entry Requirement
To demonstrate English proficiency, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Obtain an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each subset.
- Achieve a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 or higher in the Paper Based Test, with a minimum TWE score of 4.5, or a score of 75 or higher in the Internet Based Test, with no subset score less than 17.
- Attain a Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) overall score of 54 or above, with no sub-score less than 46.
- Earn an Occupational English Test with Grades A or B in each of the four components.
