Overview

CQUniversity's Bachelor of Digital Media is designed to equip you for a successful career in the digital media industry. This program offers a blend of practical skills and theoretical knowledge applicable across various domains involving design, technology, and media. Its adaptable structure enables you to tailor your studies to your strengths and interests, whether focusing on graphic design, interactive media, screen production, animation, or a combination thereof.

Throughout the Bachelor of Digital Media, you'll gain hands-on experience in multimedia computer labs and production studios, mastering industry-standard software and techniques for digital media creation. You'll develop critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills essential for collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.

In your final year, you'll have the chance to work with real clients on authentic projects, ensuring you graduate with practical experience and readiness for the workforce.

This course offers flexibility, allowing you to study either on-campus or online. Additionally, it includes two optional interim or exit awards: the Diploma of Digital Media and the Associate Degree of Digital Media.

Course Structure

Course structure:
To fulfill the requirements of this program, you need to complete a total of 24 units, comprising 12 core units, two minors of four units each in either graphic design, interactive media, screen production, or animation, and four elective units.

A secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent).

Entry Requirement

You can demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following options:

- Achieving an overall band score of at least 6.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic), with a minimum score of 5.5 in each subset.

- Obtaining a score of 550 or higher overall on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Paper Based Test, with a minimum score of 4.5 in the Test of Written English (TWE), or achieving a score of 75 or higher overall on the Internet Based Test (iBT), with no subsection score less than 17.

- Attaining an overall score of 54 or higher on the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic), with no sub-score less than 46.

- Earning Grades A or B in each of the four components of the Occupational English Test.
