The Master of Health Leadership and Management (Extension) provides you with advanced disciplinary knowledge and capacities for tackling challenging senior managerial roles in health services in Australia or internationally. The degree is designed to develop judgement-ready, critically reflexive practitioners who can improve health service systems and outcomes.

You will gain a sophisticated understanding across the complex body of multidisciplinary knowledge of health management, including financial and economic management, quality and safety improvement programs, leadership and human resource management, strategic planning and change management, and policy and health program design, implementation and evaluation. Many of our graduates occupy key positions in health services and universities in Australia and across the globe.

The Master of Health Leadership and Management (Extension) can be completed in 1.7 years of full-time study or three years part-time. The program is made up of 12 courses total, including:

This degree is accredited by the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM) and the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA). It also provides the core competencies required for individuals wishing to apply for RACMA Fellowship.
