A Bachelor of Business Information Systems combines data, technology and people skills. Be a bridge between business decision-makers and IT . Learn to translate technical knowledge into actionable business insights. At Torrens University, you’ll gain practical experience in real-world settings.

This degree focuses on the introduction and development of skills to prepare you for a career as an information systems professional. You will learn critical academic skills, as well as knowledge and applications of a variety of information systems and how they impact businesses. As well as the 16 core subjects, the Bachelor of Business Information Systems includes eight elective subjects so you can tailor your degree to suit your career goals. This course is a candidate for accreditation with the ACBSP.

Course Structure

This course comprises of 24 subjects, which includes 16 core subjects and 8 elective subjects. Each subject involves 10 hours of study per week, comprising 3 hours of facilitated study and 7 hours self-directed study.

 

Year 1:

These six core subjects must be completed. Additionally, you’re required to select two 100 level electives from the electives tab.

These four core subjects must be completed. Additionally, you’re required to select one 100 level elective and three 200 level electives from the electives tab.

Year 3:
