Upon graduation, you'll possess a versatile skill set enabling you to work with both children and adults, and you'll be eligible to seek registration as an Oral Health Therapist with the Dental Board of Australia. Graduates from this program are highly sought after in Queensland as well as in other states, both within public and private sectors.
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Oral Health at CQUniversity, you'll be eligible to seek registration as an Oral Health Therapist with the Dental Board of Australia.

Career Outcomes
After successfully finishing the Bachelor of Oral Health program, you will qualify to seek registration to practice as an Oral Health Therapist in both general and specialized dental practices throughout Australia. As an Oral Health Therapist, you'll be proficient in providing preventive and operative dental care for patients of all ages. Additionally, you'll possess the skills to educate and advocate for oral health in various settings, including small groups and communities.
Academic
Completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent; or completion of AQF Certificate IV or equivalent; or completion of an approved university foundation studies program.
Entry Requirement
To fulfill the English language proficiency requirements, candidates must achieve one of the following:
- Attain a minimum overall band score of 7.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic), with at least 7.0 in each of the Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening sections; or
- Obtain Grades A or B exclusively in all four components of the Occupational English Test.
- Secure an overall score of 75 in the TOEFL Internet-based test, with no subsection scoring below 17.
- Achieve an overall score of 54 in the Pearson Test of English Academic, with no subsection scoring below 46.
- Obtain an overall test score of 169 in the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) / Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) exams, with no individual band score below 162.
